Thermocouples

Thermocouples are well established as the standard industrial method of medium to high temperature measurement. Based on an extremely simple principle, two bits of wire joined together, they are both robust yet capable of high accuracy. Different metallurgies have been developed, each optimised for particular temperature ranges and applications.

Application Guide – Sheaths
Porcelain Sheaths are more easily damaged but have a higher temperature rating and a better suited to high temperature applications where cleanliness is important.
Metallic sheaths are more robust and suit applications where mechanical damage is likely.
For lower temperature and hygienic applications, stainless steel is preferred.
Duplex, longer, shorter, N, S, B, T, U, J, L, PRT, Alumina sheath, Inconel sheath, Alternative head, Exposed junction, Grounded junction and ones with wheels on (no joke!) We can supply them all. Contact our sales team to discuss your application.
