Gas Control Schemes
Saflame have been involved in gas control schemes for over 30 years. We have a huge wealth of experience in real control schemes. We can offer general and bespoke systems. 4 main schemes are shown here for reference reasons. Contact us for a discussion on your optimum requirements.

| The simplest system to implement, it is commonly used on high thermal mass applications, typically water heating etc. The burner runs continuously until the desired temperature is reached. It then switches off until the temperature drops. Our range of JUMO controls allows you to set the difference between the off and on temperature. For burner controls either the Crouzet CGG series or our boxed version the FA8 would be suitable |
An advanced version of the time proportional system. The burner output is varied between low and high using a motorised valve. This results in a very smooth and accurate control with minimum disturbance. Our range of JUMO DICON controllers are available with motor valve drive outputs. |

Modulating Air, Ratio Controlled Gas |

| Basically using the same hardware as the on off scheme, but keeping the burner running continuously. The temperature controller switches the burner between a low and high output setting. This is done via the main valve. As the temperature approaches that required, the controller will cause the burner to spend longer at it’s low setting. This results in a much smoother and accurate control than the on off scheme. | An advanced version of the modulating system. The burner output is varied between low and high using a motorised valve in the air supply. Through the action of a proportioning regulator, the gas pressure if controlled by the same amount. This maintains a fixed air gas ratio. This results in a very smooth and accurate control with minimum disturbance whilst maximising efficiency. Our range of JUMO DICON controllers are available with motor valve drive outputs. |
